To Monaco and Italy
Leave Nice and drive through the famous Basse corniche along the sea, to discover our region’s best sites.
The little town of Villefranche will enchant you with its majestic bay, its citadel and the Chapel St Pierre, fully decorated by Jean Cocteau.
The road will then take you to the legendary Cap Ferrat with its billionaires’ villas, its nice walking paths above the sea, and the visit to the Villa and Gardens Ephrussi de Rothschild.
In Beaulieu, you will be charmed by the Belle Epoque side of the city, where you will also visit the Villa Kerylos, lapped by the waves of the Mediterranean.
A little further down the road, after the Cap d’Ail, you will find the Principality of Monaco where you can visit the prince’s palace (during the summer), the famous Oceanographic Museum and the legendary route of the F1 Grand Prix.
Finally, the road continues through the Cap Martin, another place for nice promenades by the sea, and ends in the beautiful town of Menton. Famous for the annual Fête des citrons, the “Pearl of France” will seduce you with its colourful gardens and the recently opened Cocteau Museum.
If you want to push further and cross the border, Alberto will be happy to guide you through the Italian Riviera.
